In this show, I'm joined by Cate Peterson, founder of LovEarth. Cate has a deep and influential history in the yoga industry here in Australia, and she's on a mission to remove plastics from the yoga ecosystem.
Her brand LovEarth has now completely transitioned to making compostable yoga mats.
In the episode we explore how she came to the realisation that existing yoga mats they were supplying through their corporate yoga business were actually toxic for the body - quite the opposite of yoga's healing intention! We also learn how she worked with her supplier in Taiwan to produce 100% pure mats from tree resin, jute and charcoal, as well as how they look holistically at the customer journey, including repurposing pre-loved mats (from other suppliers), to composting the LovEarth mats at end of life.

The old definition of eCommerce as simply the online extension of physical retail is inadequate to cover the various business models that have erupted over the past decade.
